Our upper school students are up for the challenges of advanced learning and techniques. F2BPAC brings rigor and fun together for an experience that helps mold these students into well-rounded and capable dancers.
Acro IV-Placement at the discretion of Directors/Instructor

(Placement at the discretion of the Director/Teacher) This class will focus on advancing your dancers skills in Acro. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructor will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers and many more.

This class will teach you the fundamentals of traditional West African infused with Afro style dance. Each class will include teachings of the culture through movement accompanied with Djembe drums and Afrocentric sounds. Introduction to full body warm up and full technique that will flow into choreographic works of art
Hip Hop II- 4 years experience required

At least 2 years of hip hop dance experience needed. Based on a combination of urban street dancing and house dancing, Hip Hop is one of today’s fastest-growing dance forms. Students will learn the basic steps, terminology and various styles of Hip Hop and levels of breaking dancing, in addition to several combinations, and dances.
Leaps and Turns

Nail that double or triple pirouette and perfect your split leaps! Leaps and turns will expand technical fundamentals through a progression of stylistic turns and jumps.
Level 2 Ballet, Tap, Jazz-Placement at the discretion of Directors

Traditional classical dance styles taught in fun, professional environment, students also learn the terminology and vocabulary in each genre. In Ballet, dancers learn exercises, steps, & combinations. A ballet class consists of several segments, usually: barre, center, adagio, allegro, & reverence, with French terminology. Jazz – Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility, conditioning technique, turns, kicks & leaps. Tap – Tap dancers use the metal taps on the toes and heels of their shoes to produce an endless variety of sounds and rhythms that differ in dynamics and even pitch. In tap dance class, you’ll be training your musical ear as well as your body.
Level 3 Ballet - (3 years experience required)

Level 3 Jazz-Placement at the discretion of Directors

Jazz is an intensive class based on technique and style. Many styles are explored through warm-ups, isolations, stretching, footwork, progressions, turns, leaps, and combinations. This class also provides routines and exercises that build on strength, flexibility and stamina. Students learn a wide range of steps in order to learn new skills. Challenging them with more complex moves over time will allow them to master different techniques and gain a sense of achievement. All styles of Jazz are explored through warm-ups, isolations, stretching, footwork, progressions, turns, leaps, and combinations.
Level 3 Tap-Placement at the discretion of Directors

A clearly defined, graduated method for all ages and levels, emphasizing the development of a sense of rhythm and musicality. Speed and rhythm exercises are explored through various combinations and learning the method of eccentric rhythm counting. Advanced Tappers will also learn various styles of tap from hoofing to musical theater, opening up their knowledge base, becoming well-rounded tappers.

Modern dance techniques will include suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving in combinations, floor work and partnering, and also in various methods of improvisation. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional modern dance movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolation's, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
Level 5 Ballet (5 years experience) - Placement at the discretion of Director

Pointe I- Invitation only

Students must have teacher’s approval to enroll in the pre-pointe class. Students taking pre-pointe must also take 1 ballet technique class during the week in addition to pre-pointe to ensure that they are building strength and endurance to be ready for pointe.
Pointe II- Invitation only

Students must have teacher’s approval to enroll in the pointe class. Pointe is an extra class and does not count as a ballet technique class; students must take 1 ballet technique class and their pointe class would be in addition to that.

Clothing: Leotard, tights, dance shorts, jazz pants or leggings. Shoes: Black tap shoes (style depends on level of class) No Patent Leather Taps Please.
